What Does that Mean - Beyond Luck?

Well, you know, most people never quite get comfortable with the random events that crop up in their life. We all know that "stuff" happens, but most of us never suspect how much more control we could have in directing that "stuff."

We grow up hearing references to Lady Luck. Some folks lead charmed lives, we're told, while others seem to be jinxed. People talk with perfectly straight faces about Murphy's Law, pointing out that anything that can go wrong will go wrong, and at the worst possible time.

Our world is made out to be capricious and unpredictable. I often hear people bemoan their bad luck or their fate. We often hear "you can't win for losing." Absorbing these ideas as a child led me to believe that control of my life was out of my own hands. Such beliefs shaped my childhood.

Even before I grew up, however, I began noticing that some people didn't seem to be at the mercy of luck. Fate smiled on them in special ways. Years later, when I interviewed some of these lucky types, I found that none of them-not one-believed in luck. Instead, they had a conviction that they were masters of their own ship. This was in contrast to my own beliefs and experiences.

Gradually, over the years, as I studied and learned, I found that although random, unpredictable events still happened, it was increasingly possible to "get fate to smile on me." So while I seldom could make specific events happen, I began learning to set the tone and nature of some of those random events. My luck was changing… for the better.

But if you can control events, is it really luck? That's what these 20 videos are about - changing the kind of events you attract - to go Beyond Luck.

The Beyond Luck video course is fast - average 3 minutes or so per video - but just watching is not where the power is. Each day will also provide an Action Guide which gives a brief, but powerful exercise. Do them seriously and follow through methodically.
